RCO-East

Rear Commodores are elected by the District Board and may serve for up to two years but are subject to reelection at the end of their first twelve-month term.  The Rear Commodore serves as the Commodore’s representative to the Divisions served and in that capacity works hand-in-hand with the Divisions’ leaders to answer questions that come about, assist in solving problems confronted by the Divisions, and do whatever is necessary from an administrative standpoint to enhance the health of the Divisions.  At the same time, the Rear Commodore serves as the Auxiliary liaison to his/her assigned US Coast Guard Sector or Sectors and as such either personally attends the monthly Sector Commander meetings or has someone attend in the place of the Rear Commodore.  The area of responsibility (AOR) for the Rear Commodore – East comprises those areas coming under Sector Mobile:  Portions of southwest Georgia, the Florida Panhandle, all of Alabama, and most of Mississippi.  The Auxiliary Divisions in this geographic area include Divisions 1, 3, and 8, with Division 8 encompassing the largest geographic area and that area recently expanded with Sector reorganization.  RCO-E Clinchy resides in Navarre, FL, and is a member of Flotilla 17 in Pensacola, FL.  He is married and has two sons…37 and 11 years of age respectively.
